1.Where can I get the sezame app?

Your smartphone must offer fingerprint or face detection authentication capabilities. The sezame app is ready for download in Google Play and on Apple App Store.

2.Where can I use the secure and simple sezame Login?

OpenSeza_ButtonKeep checking your favorite websites for our sezame logos and buttons. If you do not find them today they will hopefully be added over time as we are constantly adding new partners.

3.How do I register within the sezame app?

Open the sezame app. Attention: Please enable push notifications for the best user experience!

Enter your private and trusted Security-Email-Address used to manage your account. In urgent cases, the Security-Link sent is required, e.g. if your device was stolen or you want to change your smartphone. Press OK and confirm by fingerprint or face recognition. The registration will be processed and upon completion you will be redirected to the start screen of your sezame app. Your app is now ready for immediate use. You will also receive an email to confirm the email address provided. Please confirm this email address within 24 hours. After confirmation you will receive a mail with the Security-Link for the sezameSecurityCenter. Please check if you have received this email. Eventually also look in the spam folder of your mail program if you don’t find it. Please make sure you DO NOT DELETE THIS EMAIL, this is your safeguard for the worst case.

4.How do I enable sezame on a website?

First, the site must be a partner of sezame. You can recognize our partner pages at the login with the sezame button next to the conventional login area.

 

Second, log in to your page and go to the settings area. There you will find the menu item “sezame / LOGIN / … activate”, where you can activate sezame for your account. Scan the QR code displayed on the website with the sezame app (menu item “ADD SERVICE”) and your smartphone will be paired with this website. From now on, you can easily log in with your fingerprint or face recognition.

   

5.How do I activate sezame LOGIN on my PC?

With sezame LOGIN you can unlock your computer without passwords – just download the LOGIN program from our website and install it on your computer (MAC or PC). You have to pair it once with the sezame app on your smartphone and from now on you can login to your PC with your fingerprint or face recognition.

LOGIN works with any computer using WIN 10 or Mac OS 10.11 – 10.13 (El Capitan, Sierra and High Sierra).

Requirements: Your smartphone needs to support fingerprint or face recognition authentication and you have to install the sezame app on your phone.

6.How do I unlock my PC with sezame LOGIN?

After you have installed and activated sezame LOGIN on your computer, you will find an additional icon on your login-screen. Just press the LOGIN icon and confirm the authorization request on your smartphone. The sezame app will open and you have to confirm with your fingerprint or face recognition. You are logged in instantly.

7.How do I enable/disable the fraud alert in LOGIN?

To change the settings, open the LOGINconfiguration (in your program folder). You can turn off/on the FRAUD ALERT by simply clicking the check box or change your password if you want.

8.How do I uninstall LOGIN from my computer?

To uninstall LOGIN from your computer just open the LOGINconfiguration (in your program folder). You can find a button “UNINSTALL” at the left bottom. Simply click on it and follow the instructions. After that you can use your prior, regular login again. 

9.How do I activate sezame SAFE?

Open SAFE in your sezame app – either on the start screen or via the menu – and subscribe to sezameSAFE.

Download sezameSAFE on your PC or MAC from our website seza.me/safe or have the link sent directly to your subscription via e-mail in your app. Save the SAFE program to the location (USB device or cloud drive) you want to protect. Then start sezameSAFE, give it a name (for example “My SAFE”) and scan the QR code with your sezame app on your smartphone. From now on, you can easily open and encrypt your data with remote biometric authentication via your sezame app.

10.How do I open SAFE on an external/internal drive?

To open a sezame SAFE, simply press the SAFE icon on the drive you have installed SAFE.

After clicking on the icon, you will receive a push message on the smartphone. Confirm this authorization request with your fingerprint or face recognition and your SAFE will open.

11.How do I login with sezame on a website?

Just enter your username and press the “open with sezame” button. Your smartphone will now show up with a message from the sezame app asking for authentication. Confirm this login request via fingerprint or face recognition. You are immediately logged in.

12.How do I remove paired services?

You can remove existing pairings within the sezame app on your smartphone. Open the menu and go to “SERVICES -> MANAGE SERVICES”. You will find a list of all your paired services. Click on the service you want to remove, confirm with your fingerprint (or face recognition), choose “EDIT” and remove the service by clicking on “DELETE SERVICE”. After confirming again the service will be deleted.

13.What is the Security-Email-Address, the Security-Link and what is the sezameSecurityCenter?

The sezameSecurityCenter is a web service that allows you to disable your smartphone if it has been lost or stolen. It is also used to swap your smartphone as a primary authentication device.

The sezameSecurityCenter can only be accessed 3 times via the Security-Link that has been sent to you after your  initial registration. After that it expires and you need to resend a new Security-Link via your sezame app.

14.I cannot find my Security-Email

If you have deleted the Security-Email sent to you or already used the link three times, please open the sezame app on your smartphone. In the menu you will find “RESEND-SECURITY-EMAIL”. Confirm with your fingerprint or face recognition and a new Security-Email will be sent to you.

15.How do I switch my smartphone without loosing my data?

I have a new smartphone – how do I transfer my account?

There are two ways to transfer all your services to your new smartphone:

– Open sezame on your smartphone and go to the menu area. Under “ACCOUNT” you will find the menu item “DELETE DEVICE”. Open it and confirm with your fingerprint or face recognition.

or

– Enter the sezameSecurityCenter in clicking the Security-Link that has been sent to you via email during initial registration. Within the sezameSecurityCenter click on „Remove primary Device“. An authentication request will be sent to your sezame app on your current smartphone. Confirm via fingerprint or face recognition. This smartphone has now been deactivated.

Enter the sezameSecurityCenter (again) and click on „Add new primary Device“. A QR-code will be shown within the sezameSecurityCenter webpage. Download and install the sezame app on the new smartphone you want to use as your primary authentication device. Start the app, enter your existing Security-Email-Address and confirm via fingerprint (or face recognition). The sezame app will open up with the QR-code reader. Scan the QR-code shown within the sezameSecurityCenter and the new smartphone is now being registered as your new primary authentication device. You can immediately use it for all your existing logins and authentications as usual.

16.My Smartphone gets lost or stolen - what should I do?

In case your smartphone gets lost or stolen you will need your Security-Email that was sent to you during your registration.

Enter the sezameSecurityCenter in clicking the Security-Link in the Security-Email. Within the sezameSecurityCenter click on „Remove primary Device“. An authentication request will be sent to your sezame app on your (stolen) smartphone. As nobody can confirm via your fingerprint or face recognition (as you do not have your smartphone anymore) the smartphone will be deactivated. For security reasons it will stay deactivated for additional 24 hours. After this period you are able to add a new smartphone. Just re-enter the sezameSecurityCenter after this period. Click on „Add new primary Device“. A QR-code will be shown within the SezameSecurityCenter webpage. Download and install the sezame app on the new smartphone you want to use as your primary authentication device. Start the app and enter your Security-Email-Address and confirm via fingerprint or face recognition. The sezame app will open up with the QR-code reader. Scan the QR-code shown within the sezameSecurityCenter and your new smartphone is then registered as the new primary authentication device. You can now use it for all your logins and authentications as usual.

17.I want to change my Security-Email-Address

Open the sezame app on your smartphone and go to the menu area. Under “ACCOUNT” you will find the menu item ” CHANGE-SECURITY-EMAIL “. Open it, insert the new email address and confirm with your fingerprint or face recognition.
