1.Where can I get the Sezame APP

The APP is ready for download in the Google Play store and on Apple iTunes. The smartphone must offer fingerprint authentication possibilities. 

2.Where can I use the secure and simple Sezame Login

3.How do I register within the Sezame APP

Open your Sezame APP. Entert he recovery email address you would like to use.

IMPORTANT – this should be your private and trusted email address as this email address will be used to send the „Recovery GUI“ login link that is needed in urgent cases if your device has been stolen.

Enter the email address 2 times to prevent typos. On the next page just choose 2 Security questions and type in an answer. Press ok. Confirm via fingerprint.

Registration will be processed and after finished you will be redirected tot he Start screen of your Sezame APP and the APP is ready to use. Also the email with the „Recovery GUI“ login link will be sent to you.

4.How do I enable the Sesame Login on a website

Use_Sezame_buttonVisit the page you want to login via Sezame and that is a partner and offers our Sezame login service.

 

5.How do I login with the Sezame APP

Visit the page you want to login and have already enabled Sezame login via pairing the service. You ONLY need to enter your Username and press the Sezame Login button.

Yozr smartphone will show up with a message from the Sezame APP asking for fingerprint authentication. Select the shown login request and confirm via fingerprint.

You are logged in immediately. You can also try this on our Online shop showcase. Visit it via Demo in the main menu in the header. Create an account there and try.

6.Where can I remove pairings with websites or other authentication services

You can remove pairings within your Sezame APP. Open the settings area and unde the section „Pairings“ choose the pairing you want to remove and confirm via fingerprint.

If you want to use the Sezame login again with this service or webpage you have to pair again.

7.What is the recovery Email address, the recovery link email and what is the Sezame „Recovery GUI“

The Sezame „Recovery GUI“ is a web frontend where you can disable your smartphone if it has been lost or got stolen. It is also used to swap your smartphone as a primary authentication device.

The Recovery GUI can only be accessed 3 times via the „Recovery GUI“ login link that has been sent to you via initial registration. After that it expires and you need to resend a new login link via your Sezame APP as described in the section „How can I resend my recovery Email with the „Recovery GUI“ login link to my recovery email address“

8.How can I resend my recovery Email with the „Recovery GUI“ login link to my recovery email address

You can resend an Email with the „Recovery GUI“ login link via the Sezame APP. Just enter the Settings page and under the User section press the „resend recovery email“ button, confirm as usual via your fingerprint and a new recovery Email with the „Recovery GUI“ login link will be resent to your defined recovery Email account.

9.What can I do if my recovery Email is lost and I would like to access the „Recovery GUI“

If you cannot find the recovery email anymore you can resend an Email with the „Recovery GUI“ login link via the Sezame APP. Just enter the Settings page and under the User section press the „resend recovery email“ button, confirm as usual via your fingerprint and a new recovery Email with the „Recovery GUI“ login link will be resent to your defined recovery Email account.

10.How do I swap my smartphone

Enter the „Recovery GUI“ in clicking the „Recovery GUI“ link that has been sent to you via email during initial registration. Within the „Recovery GUI“ click on „Remove primary Device“. A authentication request will be sent to your Sezame APP on your current smartphone. Confirm via fingerprint. This smartphone has now been deactivated. Click on „Reload“ within the „Recovery GUI“ and then on „Add new primary Device“. A QR code will be shown within the „Recovery GUI“ webpage. Download and install the Sezame APP on the new smartphone you want to use as your primary authentication device. Start the APP and enter your „recovery email address“ and confirm via fingerprint. The Sezame APP will open up with the QR-code reader. Scan the QR-code shown within the „Recovery GUI“ and your new smartphone is then registered as the new primary authentication device. You can now use it for all your logins and authentications as usual.

11.What do I do if I lost my smartphone or it was stolen

Enter the „Recovery GUI“ in clicking the „Recovery GUI“ link that has been sent to you via email during initial registration. Within the „Recovery GUI“ click on „Remove primary Device“. An authentication request will be sent to your Sezame APP on your current smartphone. As you cannot confirm via fingerprint as you do not have your smartphone anymore the smartphone will be deactivated and will stay deactivated for security reasons for one more day. After this period you are able to add a new smartphone .Just reenter the „Recovery GUI“ after this period. Click on „Add new primary Device“. A QR code will be shown within the „Recovery GUI“ webpage. Download and install the Sezame APP on the new smartphone you want to use as your primary authentication device. Start the APP and enter your „recovery email address“ and confirm via fingerprint. The Sezame APP will open up with the QR-code reader. Scan the QR-code shown within the „Recovery GUI“ and your new smartphone is then registered as the new primary authentication device. You can now use it for all your logins and authentications as usual.

12.What do I do if my device was stolen and my email account was hacked and my recovery email is lost as well – it happens all together

This ist he worst case that can happen. In this case please contact the Sezame support hotline and qou will be asked to answer the 2 security questions. After that we will be able to help you to get your service back.
